Welcome to Cleveland

Welcome to my blog!

This blog is home to the biggest Cleveland homer of all time. The only difference between me and every other Cleveland homer is that I actually know what's best for this city. This city that has a huge riverfront and a huge lakefront, both completely underutilized. This is a city with the second biggest performing arts complex in the nation behind Broadway, the second ranked orchestra in the world, three professional sports franchises, incredible museums and a sick nightlife. Yet people here apparently don't realize how awesome it is. I aim to offend you into either not reading my blog anymore or realizing how awesome it is here and become loyal minions of mine to spread the belligerent pro-Cleveland attitude I carry with me everywhere. If you can find another city where you can afford so much while not sacrificing virtually anything that a big city offers and not having to deal with millions of hipsters everywhere, I would love to hear it.

Let me give you all a brief history of me. After this post, there are a few immediate topics I'll dive into next:

  1. The Tribe and their pending world series victory and what moves get them there
  2. The Browns and the pending benching of Weeden for hometown hero Brian Hoyer
  3. The Cavs and the pending disappointing season full of injury and how it can be saved

I'm born and raised in Cleveland. I was born in West Park on W. 176th into the coolest family in the world. I'm from a working class family like many Clevelanders. My dad worked at Ford's iconic Casting Plant for 36+ years, my mom has taught in the Cleveland School District for 25+ years and is now a principal there. I moved to Rocky River when I was 3, went to St. Chris on the west side, then Kensington and Rocky River middle, then Birchwood in West Park, then RRHS. I spent two years at Xavier University before my obsession with Cleveland brought me back home to go to CSU. I graduated in 2009 with my BSME and I'm currently enrolled at CSU for my MBA. I spent 7 months after college unemployed turning down jobs in Houston TX and Lancaster PA not because they weren't awesome, but because they weren't in Cleveland. I would never live anywhere else in the US. If you think you're more Cleveland than me I have already lost respect for you and you should stop reading my blog. I bought a house in West Park in March 2013, bringing me back to the heart of my Cleveland. I haven't missed a minute of Browns football in years, until last year where I only watched about half the season in protest. I watch every single Cavs and Indians game unless there is a serious reason why I can't, in which case I'm glued to my phone on gamecast. I have a huge dog who obviously loves Cleveland as much as I do.

I don't care if this blog offends you so don't waste your time complaining. All people do nowadays is complain. No one takes responsibility for their actions and everyone is soft now. If you listen to Cleveland sports pundits and don't think they're idiots then you're in denial. Cleveland has by far the worst sports sports writers and pundits in the nation. It is embarrassing that a city with such an incredible sports history has such pathetic sports talk. Since I'm banned from almost all of the sports forums and Triv just interrupts me and hangs up every time I call, I will start using this blog to voice my belligerent Cleveland sports opinions. Starting with this one: Mike Brown is a very very nice guy from everyone who has ever met him. I also respect his sick style. However, unless he's learned and is COMPLETELY different now that he's failed with the Cavs once and the Lakers once, he's a bad head coach. He's a D coordinator at best. Yet the Cavs re-hired him.

That's all for now, I'll be back later this weekend with my thoughts on the Indians, their chances of winning the world series this year (100%) and what they need to do to get there.
